Calfresh will stretch a tight food budget to keep you and your family well-fed and healthy. You may qualify for Calfresh, even if you have a full- or part-time job.

New Updates about CalFresh:


  • As of February 1, 2011, the asset test described in the attached brochure will no longer be applied to households applying only for CalFresh. A household may qualify for CalFresh even if they have cash on hand, money in the bank, own a car, own property or have other assets. Because the asset test has been removed, struggling households can retain their assets to cushion against financial uncertainties.


  • The Gross monthly income limit to determine eligibility for CalFresh has increased as follows:

October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014
130% of Poverty Level
