Evaluating Appeals - Volunteer Opportunity

Public Counsel's Appellate Law Program places appeals with pro bono counsel for representation when an indigent appellant in a civil matter can present one or more arguably meritorious issues to the appellate court.  To determine whether the appellant can do so, it is necessary to conduct a thorough evaluation of the appeal.

This document describes what Public Counsel asks of an attorney who agrees to volunteer to evaluate an appeal for our Appellate Law Program.
