Public Counsel's 2013 William O. Douglas Award Dinner

This year, we are proud to announce that the Hon. Elizabeth Dole will be receiving our William O. Douglas Award.  Elizabeth Dole was Secretary of Transportation under President Reagan and Secretary of Labor in the George H.W. Bush Administration.  She later served as President of the Red Cross for eight years before joining the United States Senate from 2004-2008.  In recent years she has become quite involved in veterans' issues, founding the organization Caring for Military Families: The Elizabeth Dole Foundation.  We will also be honoring City National Bank with our Corporate Achievement Award and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP with our Law Firm Pro Bono Award.  The dinner will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Public Counsel's 10th Annual "Run for Justice!"

Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17, 2013

In conjunction with the ASICS LA Marathon

More than 400 participants came out to Dodger Stadium on St. Patrick's Day weekend to support Public Counsel's Run for Justice 5K, an event of the ASICS LA Marathon.

The 34 teams' fundraising efforts support Public Counsel's work to fight injustice and promote fairness for children, families, veterans and many others.
